Mimi Spier is senior director, business development, marketing and GTM Strategy for Internet of Things. She leads a team responsible for defining and launching the marketing, product and business strategy for IoT at Vmware, and developing the strategic partners necessary to deliver the most complete solution to the market. Previously at VMWare, Ms. Spier was responsible for ISV business development and marketing for Mobility. She helped shape the growth and GTM strategy for VMware's $1.5 billion acquisition of AirWatch. In that role, she helped create and lead the AppConfig program (formally ACE), which enlists such major players as SAP, Oracle, Cisco, SalesForce, and others to team with VMware in the Mobility marketplace. Prior to that, Ms. Spier was senior director marketing for Big Data and Analytics for SAP, driving cross-portfolio innovation and global growth across those market areas. In addition, she held consulting positions at Oracle in sales, migration and application projects and, later on, ran her own strategic marketing company with clients including SAP and Hyperion.She is a business graduate of Arizona State University and a Certified Public Accountant
